Create a team and invite people

Make a team on Mojo Up AI Cloud, invite your colleagues by email and give each of them a role.

Your personal space is yours alone, so it has no members. To work with other people, you create a team: a shared organisation on Mojo Up AI Cloud whose members share workbenches, projects, policies and secrets. In this tutorial you create one, invite a colleague, and see them join.

You need a Mojo Up AI Cloud account. If you do not have one yet, start with Sign in to Mojo Up AI Cloud.

Create the team

  1. Sign in at cloud.ai.mojoup.com.au.
  2. Choose your organisation's name at the top of the sidebar, then Create a team. (From your personal space, Team in the sidebar also offers Create a team.)
  3. Give the team a name, for example "Acme engineering", and choose Create team.

You are the team's owner, and the console switches to it. A new team starts on the Free plan. See Plans.

Invite someone

  1. In the team, open Team in the sidebar and choose Invite people.
  2. Type their email address.
  3. Choose their role: Member or Admin. You can change it later.
  4. Choose Send invitation.

Mojo Up emails them a link. The console also shows you the link, once, with a Copy button, in case you would rather send it yourself.

The link works once, for a week. They can accept it with any sign-in method that uses that email address.

They accept

Your colleague opens the link. They see who invited them, to which team and with which role. If they are not signed in, they sign in or create an account with any method that uses the invited address, then choose Join and the team's name.

If they are signed in with an account that uses a different address, the console says so and offers Sign in with another account.

See them join

Back on your Team page, your colleague now appears under Members with their role, and the invitation has gone from Invitations.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything an admin can, and change who owns the team. Only an owner can make someone an owner or change an owner's role. A team always keeps at least one owner.
AdminInvite and manage people, and administer the team's workbenches, policies and secrets.
MemberUse the team's workbenches, projects and catalogue.

Invitations offer Member or Admin. To make someone an owner, invite them, then change their role on the Team page.

Change a role or remove someone

On the Team page, owners and admins change a member's role with the role list on their row, or remove them with the remove button beside it. When someone leaves or is removed, their workbenches lose their access to the team.

To leave a team yourself, choose More, then Leave team. Someone in the team has to invite you back.
