Notifications

Get a push notification when something needs you, and what your lock screen shows.

The app can tell your phone when something needs you: an approval, a decision, a question, a budget, or work that stopped. Tapping the notification opens the Inbox with that item first.

Turn on notifications

Open Settings

On Workbenches, tap Settings.

Set up push

Under Notifications, tap Set up push and allow notifications when your phone asks. The Push row then says This phone is told when something needs you.

If the row says Not allowed, notifications are turned off for the app in your phone's settings. Allow notifications for AIOE there, then come back. Push needs a real phone: it does not work in a simulator or a browser. On Android the app's notifications arrive on the Needs you channel, which you can adjust in the phone's settings.

On Mojo Up AI Cloud, the phone is registered for push in each organisation you open in the app. Tapping a notification switches to the organisation it belongs to. Signing out stops notifications to this phone.

What sends a notification

Only items that need you and that you have not read yet are pushed, to the people the item names (or the owner of a personal project). Items for your information stay in the inbox without a notification.

What your lock screen shows

By default a notification carries no details of the request, only a general title such as:

  • Needs your approval
  • A decision waits on you
  • A question for you
  • An agent finished
  • Something stopped and needs a look
  • A budget needs you
  • Something needs you

The app loads the details from your organisation when you open it, so nothing about the request travels through Apple's or Google's notification services.

An administrator can change this for the whole organisation (or a team's owner or administrator, on Mojo Up AI Cloud) in the console's Phone Notifications settings, with Show what the request says. With it on, the request's title and text travel through Apple or Google and show on the lock screen.
