Keep it on your own network
Run your team's hub on one of your own machines, reached over your own network, instead of through Mojo Up AI Cloud.
Mojo Up AI Cloud is the simplest way for a team to share work: nothing to run, nothing to open on your network. Some teams would rather nothing went through Mojo Up at all. For them, AI Workbench can run the team's hub on one of the team's own machines, reached over the team's own network, such as an office LAN or a Tailscale tailnet.
With a hub of your own:
- The hub is one of your desktops, or a headless node started with
mojoup-node hub. - Members, their desktops, nodes and phones join it with an invitation from the hub's owner, not through Mojo Up.
- You run it, so you keep it running, backed up and up to date.
- Phones can join only over a tailnet, because the hub uses the tailnet's certificate to give phones a connection they trust.
A hub of your own and a team on Mojo Up AI Cloud are separate spaces in the workbench. You can use either, or both for different teams.
