Your first dictation
The guided setup that opens the first time you start MojoFlow, step by step.
The first time MojoFlow starts, it opens MojoFlow setup. It takes about two minutes plus the model download. Each step is saved when you leave it, so the key and microphone tests use your real settings. You can leave with Skip setup at any time, and run it again later from About → Run setup again.
Make it yours
Choose Colour mode (match your system, light or dark) and Style (Solid or Glass). You can change both later under Appearance.
Speech model
MojoFlow looks at your computer and recommends the speech model that suits it, marked Recommended for this PC. Choose Download. It is a one-time download, about 1.5 GB for the usual recommendation. Next waits until it has finished. See Models for the choices.
Push-to-talk key
The key you hold while you speak. Right Ctrl is the default. To use another, choose Change, hold any modifiers (Ctrl, Alt, Shift), then press the key; Esc stops recording it. Pick a key you never use for anything else.
Turn on Hands-free if you would rather tap the key to start and tap it again to stop.
Microphone
Hold your key and say a few words: the bars should move and MojoFlow says Heard you. If they do not, pick another microphone from the list.
Bluetooth headsets
Let MojoFlow type (Linux only)
Some Linux desktops ask once before any app may type for you. Choose Allow typing. Your desktop's window is titled Remote Desktop: switch on Allow Remote Interaction, keep Remember This Selection ticked, and choose Share. MojoFlow asks for this only here or on the Dictation page, never in the middle of a dictation.
Clean-up
Optional. A small language model, about 0.8 to 2.3 GB, removes filler words, adds punctuation and applies spoken corrections. Download it now or choose Skip for now: dictation works without it and you get exactly what was heard. See Clean-up.
Try it
Click in the box, hold your key, say a sentence, and let go. MojoFlow shows how long your speech was and how quickly it was typed.
You're set
Turn on Start with Windows (Start at login on Linux) to have MojoFlow open quietly in the tray when you sign in, then choose Finish.
From now on, hold your key in any app to dictate. The window is for settings, your dictionary and your history; open it from the tray icon.
